one might guess you would show him getting burned by a Top 5 talent in this years draft

I'm sure Amari makes a lot of serviceable corners look bad and maybe Jalen Collins sucks too, but that doesn't make Swann good. I am glad he is no longer at UGA so I never have to see him lined up out wide again.

That really isn't true at all.

He struggled as a junior when he had 3 true freshmen around him in the secondary, but he was quite solid as a sophomore and senior. Even though he was beaten and picked on at times throughout his career, he also forced a lot of turnovers and created many negative plays.

And don't act like Swann was the reason UGA lost that SEC championship. Alabama had 350 yards rushing in that game.

Got to love fans who ravage a player because they only remember 1 bad play in their head. They quickly forget whatever positives he had in his career.

Swann is a pretty solid player, but a terrible cover corner. He really shined this past season in Pruitts scheme as the nickel/robber guy
He never really showed his potential. I am not sure what they saw in him to give up 2 picks.

Swann had the third-highest overall grade in this corner class against Power 5 teams, his 23 defensive stops tied for second among SEC CBs

Yeah, he forced turnovers and negative plays when he wasn't playing corner. Swann sucks at corner.

Congrats on your grades. Watching him every game for 4 years play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and get turned around trying to cover someone will be as fun for y'all as it was for me. Swann played well in the hybrid nickel back/safety position so hopefully thats what he does in the pros.

Swan trying to play zone as a corner, although Ramik kinda fricked him

Swann gets beat terribly but luckily Mauger cleans up

Now when he isnt playing boundary corner....

Nice play stopping the run

Makes a nice read playing the Star position, or nickel back

There is also a GIF of him playing safety out there somewhere in which he makes a nice pick that sets us up to beat USC last year, even though we blew it.

TL DR play him at nickel or safety + cover someone outside -

it seems we transitioning to a defense and ground and pound team with our future qb taking over soon.

I compared it to the defense and getting Terrell Davis at the end of Elways career. Even with great weapons at TE and WR, Drew can't carry this team. We've seen it the last two years. The team needs to get better as a whole. Although we need another WR somewhere, I like all the picks bringing in talent and competition. We haven't had this many picks in a really long time.

I don't think anyone expects him to line up outside.

That's good. I think he could have a solid career in a honey badger type roll, obviously not a player of that caliber though.
