Going to be in Maui for the final game of the year. Does anyone know of any sports bars in Maui that would carry the game? I'll be in the Paia area (near Mama's Fish House) that morning but will have a car. It's a noon game airing 8am their time, so I know it's a long shot. Thanks y'all.

Have you been to Mama's yet? One of the better meals of my life. Highly recommend, it is extremely expensive.

I do not know of and I doubt there are any Saints specific bars. I was there during the season a few years ago...and honestly just skipped the game.

However there are a lot of Sports bars that show NFL games, particularly in the Lahaina area.

There is a place called Rock and Brews in Paia.

Check out the Lahaina area, or the Ka'anapali area. We stayed in Ka'anapali and were able to watch the LSU game (against Ga. Southern) on a TV at a poolside bar. Very nice ambiance. Enjoy Maui! It was one of the best vacations of my life.

Not to hijack the thread, but if you can, try to get a Haleakala sunrise, and take your time on the Road to Hana. Also, in Paia, eat at the Paia Fish Market early and often. It was wonderful. Shaka bra! Have fun!

My wife GREATLY disagrees.

She is STILL mad at me about that. You have to get up at about 3 in the morning to make the long long drive up there (might be closer from Paia), it is freezing cold up there, and you only see the sunrise about 35-40% of the time. When you do its spectacular, but the rest of the time its cloud cover.

We did not see it. To say my wife was pissed about it was an understatement.

Road to hana is cool though

Thanks Doc. We'll actually be staying in the Lahaina area for the first part of the trip, followed by one night in Paia before we head to Hana for a few nights.

And Fun Bunch, we're going to Mama's for lunch, can't wait! I'll call Rock and Brew to see if they may have the Saints game. Looks like they have TVs based on their website.

Yea the sunrise hike already got voted down, but we're going to try the sunSET hike, which is supposed to be equally as awesome.

Eat at the Mill House as well.

To me it was neck and neck with Mama's for best meals in Hawaii. (And not nearly as expensive)

The sunrise was the most epic natural experience of my life, and believe me, I've done a bunch. Yes, you get up at 3:00 am, but we did that on our first morning there. It was the same as getting up at 8:00 CST, so it wasn't a big deal. Yeah, it was cold, but with a couple of layers, we were all fine. It was spectacular, and I'm so glad we did it.

The sunset will be nice. But if you have a chance, do a sunrise. Its a better angle to catch the sunrise from your viewpoint, than the sunset.

Enjoy your time there. The locals were great, and the beauty of the whole area is just unreal. Snorkel at as many places as you can. Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
