This won't stop them from looking hard at DTs after the first round. The big thing is (besides the obvious talent he brings) that this will allow us to chill in the second round and if someone like Paea, Austin, or Taylor are there, they can still jump one them and let them be in a really talented rotation.

I know they've still got that D league or Canadian league or whatever DT, but I don't think they are going to rely on him, just give him a shot.

I don't know the exact number but Rogers has a knack for blocking kicks. I believe he has the highest number of active players.

Saints got the man they wanted it seems.

Plenty of talented DT's to choose from in Free Agency this year. Jenkins with injury concerns, Haynesworth with character and commitment concerns, and it seems they graded Rogers higher than Tommie Harris as far as what is left in the tank.

I like the pick up. Especially considering how freaking deep the DT and DE positions are this draft. The Saints will be able to get a great player for both positions in the first two rounds.

gonna need extra security at the airport. Rogers can't be too bright if he tried to get on a plane while he was packing.

Good thing being bright and a good football player doesn't go hand in hand

Rogers will make for a great addition to our short DT rotation. He can be the space eater freeing up Ellis more and can rotate with Ayodele.

Well, a Superbowl winning coach did it and Rogers just has to play DT.

Love this move! I think since he will be on a winning team his attitude will be better thus he will play harder and better.

This says all you need to know about his drive and desire to play at a high level for us.

As far as all the gun jokes...

I hope he brings em every damn game!
