Huge haul, here: Ozigbo, Granderson and Hansen are all guys who are easy to picture contributing in the NFL. Each should have been drafted.

Ozigbo (5’11/222) operated as a committee back for three seasons before exploding as a 2018 senior for 155/1,082/12 (7.0 YPC) rushing with 23 catches. Per PFF College, Ozigbo gained first downs or scored a touchdown on a Big Ten-high 34% of his 2018 carries. Still snubbed for a Combine invite, Ozigbo shined at his Pro Day with 4.54 speed and explosive vertical (37") and broad (10’4") jumps. A rich man’s C.J. Anderson, Ozigbo combines plus footwork for a big man with all-purpose versatility and a knack for breaking tackles on inside runs. Despite his lack of pre-draft fanfare, Ozigbo offers NFL starter potential.

Damn, really looking forward to seeing him in the preseason. I'm a bit iffy on Murray as the #2, and RB's can generally hit the ground running (LOL!!1) as rookies. Pass blocking will obviously be big in terms of his touches.

How is it that we always seem to have the #1 UDFA class? That's crazy

The fact is 6'9" people don't tend to play football. They're rare for any position.

Between the lack of general success of NFL players over 6'6-7", the steering towards basketball if you are taller than average at a younger age, the much higher success rate of taller players in the NBA, and the amount of weight needed to play football vs. basketball at that size (it can get to very unhealthy levels for football players), I don't think you can generally say position X just isn't that tall.

The fact is no NFL players are generally that tall, but when they are they tend to be linemen on either side, not one over the other.

Arik Amrstead is another example (not that he's doing well but again that's just because it's harder in general to play in the NFL at that size) of an overly tall Dlineman.

When you're that big you tend to be less flexible (as football moves are concerned), and teams tend to want you to weigh more making you even less flexible. And if you don't put on weight your height is a disadvantage as you lose the pad level game and get pushed around even easier.

Edit:
Amrstead was 6'8" not 6'9". But I think the point still stands that there are overly tall Dlinemen (a few others are also 6'8" currently).

Also the tallest player in NFL history and the only one to measure 7'0" was defensive tackle Richard Sligh.

And the only other players over 6'9" were Too Tall Jones and TE Morris Stroud.

Ogden was the tallest Olineman at 6'9".
