Robert Meachem worked out for Saints today. Ran a 4.48 forty.

In perspective, He would've been in the top 10 of WR's this year at the combine at age 31. Mighty impressive.

He was always fast. Never was able to do much else though, except block.

If he can run go routes still, that will work for a WR #5.

Would still rather go for a burner in the draft

Made some huge plays for the Saints back in the day. Hopefully he can do it again.

Don't need him to run multiple routes. Just needs to run that go route and run block!

People always give him shite but he was pretty good at catching the deep ball in traffic.

He's still better than Coleman. And would be our best WR after Cooks and Snead.

That's just f'n sad!

Coleman was actually a Rookie last year and was Raw coming out of college and as the year went on he greatly Improved and does deserve a chance to show he has matured,If I remember right Meachem took 3 years to develop and was a first round pick. Coleman I think is on his way to making Saints fans Happy for Colston and all he did for the Saints but Colman is there to pick up where Colston left off...If Meachem is healthy he deserves a look being a veteran..But to slam Colman over that I take that height and age any day..

Why are people bringing up Coleman? They would be 2 completely different roles. It's not like we're going to cut Coleman if we sign Meachem.

I'm just sick of this team bullshitting our way through this position. Draft a guy in the first 3 rounds, pair him with Cooks and Snead, and we're ready to go for a while.

We are a team that has not ever under CSP over paid for WR's.
Thats a feather in their hat.
We have found very good receivers in later rounds...another feather.
We have two 1000 yard receivers from last year returning on the cheap....another feather.

While the WR corp can always improve I don't get with our production in the passing game your

I'll always remember the pre game where he was running routes and fell down his 1st or 2nd year.
