He was hired to scout talent and give an opinion during the draft.

He's proven he can scout talent(in dallas and MIA) and he's in a role that fits his strengths.

Really another OL with the second pick really? We wasted a pick with the number #13 pick that won't even play this year. The number #13 pick has to start

1st WR Best option available to take pressure off Cooks and officially start Colston's swan song

2nd DE someone to challenge/push Hicks while improving depth...if Hicks leaves via FA this could be the 1st Round Selection.

3rd OG Heir to Evans or Lelito upgrade

4th TE A project player/or incredible value. Watson is getting older and could help groom a potential long term replacement. I like Hill however I only see him as a more explosive David Thomas.

5th ILB Replacing Hawthorne should be a priority at some point as well. Ellerbe, Kikaha, and Anthony should be around for a while due to contracts and potential so adding someone to compete along side them and hopefully start pushing Hawthorne out would be nice.

6th K Looking at Novak along with the K battle that no one chose to win is not a good sign no matter how you spin it. We once used a 5th on a punter and have not had to replace him since...if such a player exists in this draft I can see us finally grabbing one.

7th ??? Trade bait for a veteran that will be cut soon...I really like when we trade for veteran LB's...the depth they tend to provide usually tops what would be a cut player anyway that never makes it. This player should not start for us...even though most of them tend to at some point anyway.

Between Hawthorne, Simoneau, Haralson, Shanle we have been very fortunate with acquiring good depth players for relatively cheap picks.

Surprisingly I would stand pat at CB...Lewis, Browner, Breaux, Williams, and Swann seems like a good core group...If that area needs to be addressed again I would rather do it with proven players in FA.
