Follow my logic:

Saints D giving up 28.5 points per game

Seahawks D giving up 30.5 points per game

Seahawks = Championship D

Saints D > Championship D

Profit?

The logic is inescapable. On a real note, however, I feel we played pretty well barring that thing at the end of the first half and those two in the third quarter.

I think it's on the offense to stop stalling on the first three drives and to punch it in more often. Then we'd have some momentum in a game. But, consider that we have a number of new pieces to get our rhythm going offensively. I still think we get stronger through the year, but we can't be treating division games like preseason games.

The defense has been the only bright spot on the team this year. In spurts they have shown flashes of being good. They have also given us 2-3 chances in 2 separate games to win it in the 4th.

2 Fumbles this past Sunday on a short field should have resulted in more than 6 points.

I like to think Jimmy Graham is our Trojan horse, sent into the Seahawks locker room to destroy them from the inside. His overall bitchy demeanor was supposed to destroy their offense, but it seems his reach goes to the defense as well.

Honestly, I'm encouraged about the defense. This is a young group that will eventually start to gel. Stephone Anthony looks like a monster out there. Kik flys to the ball and has a wonderful motor. Swann looks pretty serviceable and will continue to get better.

Chancellor is holding out because he is not paid what he is worth.(more players are starting to follow)

Seattle has paid everybody else top money. RW top QB money and they traded for one of the richest TE's in the NFL after giving Sherman no.1 CB money.

Jimmy was completely owned and shut down by Chancellor.

Chancellor can not be paid because the team is finally starting to really feel the pressure of the Cap and its vice grip vs rookie contracts. Jimmy expedited that process and now they may not even have 1 more run before drastic changes are made in Seattle.

Op Jimmy - Success.
Op fix Saints 2.0 - needs an update/missing plug-in

We are a bull rusher in the middle of the DLine away from being a really good defense. Run D has been adequate. Pass D does ok when they're in position to make plays, but CP and Jameis had all day to throw. Anthony and HK are 2 young linebackers we've always dreamed about. Imagine having them 4-5 years ago.

Speaking of DLine... What in the holy frick was the holding call on Richardson about? I've never seen that called before and he sure as hell didn't do anything out of the ordinary on the play. Sean's face was priceless.
