Pick 32 hypothetical and question

Ok this is off the wall but I really don't know this answer to. Remember a few years ago the Vikings had time run out on their pick so the next team jumped them? What if we let time run out on pick 32? Could we theoretically let time run out and have until round two starts on Friday to make our pick?

If you wait and it works the way I think basically you can try to trade pick 32 and get more for it and your not rushed to make a pick.
