When your formula no longer jives with what you're seeing it might be time to reassess the validity of your formula

lolololololol
Comical. We're the best hands down.

Pitt is up there too, but Saints is 100% a top 3 Oline when healthy, no arguments.
I'd put them at one, but I could see an argument for a couple of others.

no arguments.
Brees is #1 in time to throw, guys like Watson/Rodgers that will take a bunch of sacks hold on to the ball longer. It is easier to pass block for Brees, bottom line. We should not just look at the sack total.
Time to throw:
Watson 3.13
Wilson 2.93
Rodgers 2.87
Brees 2.58
Also we are not running the ball well this year. Saints are 27th in the NFL in rushing per attempt. This is with elite running backs.
There is an argument that they are not top 3.
PFF tries to grade players individually on their play each snap. If Peat is getting beat but Brees doesn't get hit he still gets graded bad.

Conklin was embarrassed by the cowboys. PFF has now lost all credibility. Lol

Peat holds the NFL sack leader to 0 sacks and gets a below 50 grade for the game. Does not matter how PFF grades, any reasonable person can see thats bad.
The issue with PFF is bias. Its impossible to have a human grading every play without bias. They look at their own grades and try to confirm them each week.

It seems way more obtuse to just look at a stat like sacks and decide if a lineman played well. I don't know, I did not watch Peat on every play. I know Donald beat him bad on one play, I also know Donald was moved around a ton. I also know Donald had at least 6 hurries.
Ignoring that Brees gets rid of the ball incredibly fast compared to other QBs and ignoring our inefficient running game is not fair.
Do I think the Saints O line is playing top 3 right now? Probably not. I do think they are talented enough to be.
And our two tackles are the best pair in the league.

Right but the O-line also knows the routes that receivers are running, and they know the time that Brees needs to get the ball out. Guards like Peat know they just need to hold their block long enough to allow brees to get the ball out on the 3 step drop, so he plays a different technique.
Just because Brees is taking a 3 step drop does not mean the lineman did not execute their block, and its beneficial at times for the guards to give up a little more ground so the RBs have more room to work over the middle in the screen game.

I can get behind that. I am not saying PFF is correct in their assessments. I am just saying it is way more complicated then how some here are making it seem.
Bringing up how the Vikings had a ton of sacks last week for example. But ignoring how we took nothing but 3 step drops and only threw it 23 times.
The entire point of PFF is to grade an individual.

Right, none of us say PFF is wrong when they rank our guys high, but as soon as someone is rated poorly, PFF all of a sudden has no credibility lol. Couldn’t it be that Andrus Peat has just sucked this year? I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t sit there and watch the left guard all game. PFF has multiple former players and coaches analyzing the film. They have no reason to overly love or hate a guy. They grade upon what they see and then they have multiple people verify the grades. Pretty much every team in the NFL has a PFF subscription and I’d say that’s the ultimate sign of validity. NFL teams aren’t going to waste their time and money on a bad product.

Let’s all laugh at PFF for ranking this titans OL #4 much less better than ours

I think Peat is great when his knee isn't bothering him, a real road grader. I guess someone pays these arse heads to write this but they don't know shite as far as the Saints go. Saints OL blows the Lambs out the water.
