I think the Saints are better than Green Bay, Baltimore and San Diego. Indy is a toss up but, really, I see no reason to not have them at #1....but I'm biased.

Green Bay and San Diego 1 and 2 is somewhat laughable.

BTW, you do realize you will have to change your pic now?

How can somebody who does this for a living be so bad?

The Seahawks winning the NFC West? I will mail Peter King $1000 anonymously if that happens. They are one of the worst teams in the NFL and their coach is bottom third in the league.

He has to be trying to be controversial. Look at what he says about the Colts and Saints

quote:

I see no reason, either in the competitive level of the division or in the Colts' slippage, for Indy to regress.

...The question is whether defensive coordinator Gregg Williams can tread water in 2010, because I think that's all he's going to have to do. New Orleans doesn't have to be in the top 10 in defense

How do you say that and then not put them at 1 and 2?

he's ranking us based on the history of the game and not the actual players, coaches, intangibles, etc.

Very laughable.

It's the NFl. Based on history, it's always a safer bet to pick new teams to be at the top, than repeats.

This. Why should we care how the Saints are ranked? You are aware this is the NFL, not the BCS I hope.

We all know that Atlanta is our biggest threat this season. We've got to get a home playoff game adn the Falcons are loaded to make that a very tough feat.

I agree with the OP. I just think he's guessing on who will have a chance to break though in '10 like the Saints did last year, not who the best teams are on paper right now (which is clearly the Saints, Colts, Vikings (with BF) and maybe San Diego and Baltimore.)

He picked the Bears last year

Dudfe doesn't think too much of the NFC. Only one team from the NFC in the top 7.

Obviously, I do. Because I posted it bish!

Oh, and some dude says I need a new sig. But I say I just got this one. I think Jabari is going to be 33 this year...So, when we get some action pics of him wearing 33, I'll need a refresh....

Oh, BTW, YGM.

My bad.....2 NFC teams in the top 7. I like Green Bay, but I'm a little surprised that anybody has them at #1. Thwy are my surprise team in the NFC this year, but I honestly think the saints are better.

I agree with you, man. Every year new teams break through in the NFL. A lot of NFl teams in the league are just a couple of players away from being really good and some teams just need a little bit of team chemistry to be really good. Anything can happen from year to year.In 2007 when the dolphins finished 1-15 nobody would of thought they would win the division the next year like they did. So it's not a stretch to say that the Packers, who were a playoff team last year, could be the best team in the league this year. Their quarterback in an up and coming star in this league. Our saints could go to the Super Bowl again but we could just as easily have a few key injuries and go 8-8 just like in 2008 when we had the injury bug. It's a brand new season and just because we and the colts were the best teams last year doesn't mean we must be the best teams this year.

If Green Bay really turns out to be our biggest obstacle in the NFC, then home field advantage will be HUGE. Brees, Bush & Co. could be rendered worthless in Green Bay if the weather is brutal.
