What was up with that? Didn't get a chance to see most of the game but noticed he was in at RT. Considering the result it must have been a good move. Did Strief get injured or just replaced?

Strief may have an "injury" but truth be told, we need to find out quick what we got with Peat for next year. That's a pretty big wild card we got that i'm not sure we can rely on yet or not.

Playing at guard some will inspire greatness in Peat going forward

That's why I was wondering if this was a move for the future, ala Amstead for Brown a couple years ago. Hopefully it is.

Should have been starting from day 1. Another example of terrible New Orleans coaching.

Did you notice the improved play by the offense?

Like I said, didn't get to see much of the game so I wasn't sure. But it sure looked like it from the glimpses I got and the box score. Glad to see he stepped up so well.

He was not very good in pre season games at all coach but sure put him out there and get Brees killed.

Watch some football troll.

Not gonna lie. Seeing Peat progress this season has me excited for the O line next year.

Add a competent guard (or two) and we have a very solid line.

Armstead - Unger - Peat will be a great trio

Agreed. Need a G somewhere in those first 3 picks.

But Armstead/Unger/Peat seems to be a nice foundation for years.

Ignoring G the last 3 offseasons was a crime. Same with C before that.

We fix G, and this team makes the playoffs next year imo. Offense can carry us

I think Evans is here no matter what next year, but hopefully in a backup role where he can stay fresh

It'll be interesting to see what we do with Strief. $1.3 million in cap savings and $3.3 million in dead money

Post June puts it at $3.5 million in cap savings, but then that money can't really be used for UFAs

Not a bad price for a backup

I thought Peat looked great. He was getting out to the second level on run plays and destroying two and three guys on a single play.

Strief would be extremely valuable as a backup. need to save cap money though. Can he transition to Guard?

As many new faces as we have(we saw how that works) this year would hate to see a vet and a solid o-line back up leave. Unless his leadership is for sh!t which I doubt I hope he stays.
