By not trying to get into the endzone you show you trust your kicker. To mitigate risk...you milk the clock as much as possible.

I LOVED that he kicked it on first down. You could tell he was on the sideline stewing over the game. Get your arse out there, drill this kick, and lets GTF out of here

How the hell could he not know that play was non-reviewable. Forward progress calls are 100% at the discretion of the officials on the field. I knew it was non-reviewable the second the referee said it, as did the announcers who said so. Is it too much to ask that your coach who is making nearly 10 MILLION dollars per year KNOW THE RULES.
