I know it is the time of year for "Mocks" and internet scenarios and I like both in their place. But if we don't get us the best possible pass rusher at 11 and then hopefully Butler at 32 I am going to lose my shite. We can go get a RB ater.....hell I would be happy with defense as far as the eye can see unless we see a steal on the offensive line after 32. And I really think Beckwith is going to be a very good pro sooner rather than later and would be a great pick up in the 2nd or 3rd depending on where we see him going. Defense and more defense (minus my OL theory).

Honestly, if I was the Saints, I would just make my picks at 11 and 32 before even continuing to talk to the Patriots for Butler. We've got the cards here, they don't want to pay him and he's unhappy. Use our 1st rounders then call up w/ 42 or another trade.

Offer 42. Let them take it or leave it. I say they take it. The Pats always want draft picks!!

That's all fine and well if a trade hadn't already been agreed to. Backing out, would be a bad move imo.

There is no "negotiating" going on imo. Deal's done and it's just a matter of time until it's formally announced. I really believe this has everything to do with "appearances" with the NFL. They don't want to give Goodell anything to try to screw them on.

This. Saints and Pats have a good relationship based on not bullshitting each other. Start backing out of agreed upon deals and then you get another team that is trying to bleed you dry. I do think the Pats should give something else to get back 32. I'm hoping part of the agreement is to swap their 72nd for our 76th, or their 96th for our 103rd.

If we can somehow swing 42 then I officially retract my original statement. I just don't think that is the deal. I also think that they will get a fricking pick back.
