Nola.com says Payton has "sincere interest" in Rams job

Im honestly at the stage where I don't care about Payton and his act anymore. While I think 2017 is our year to make the playoffs, if it's remotely true he doesn't want to be here, then so be it. Also, send Brees with him and lets rebuild.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is monitoring the Los Angeles Rams head coaching job "with sincere interest," according to an NFL Network report posted Saturday.
Similar to the CBS Sports report last week, the NFL Network report said the Saints would consider letting Payton out of his contract without as much compensation from another team as would have been requested a year ago.

2) Nola.com isn't saying anything, Ian Rapaport is
3) Rapaport's said Payton would leave for the last 3 seasons

They gave up all their picks for Goff. If he wants that job, let him have it but frick letting him go for shitty compensation.
Also, this is from fricking Rapoport who said the same shite last year and was wrong.

Exactly.
Also, La confora had a report as well but he's even less reliable than Ian.

Why do people think this happens every season? Rapp and LaCanfora are picking on him? Payton's agent is obviously behind this.
It was always thought he and Brees were tied at the hip and when Brees was done he probably was too. So he gets Benson to give him a giant contract last offseason then eventually gets traded to a another team and he gets to keep that contract.

The Payton Brees combination has be outstanding. The Payton Loomis combination is the real problem.

Rapaport is terrible. He just keeps reporting stories each year that CSP is leaving and knows he will eventually be right.
As for getting rid of CSP, be careful what you ask for. It's easy to get rid of a coach, but you might end up with an Alleva type hire. The only way I'd let Payton walk is if we could get Marvin Lewis or something. The list of better coaches is very very short. (Not saying Lewis is better, but he's really good.)

For the millionth time. Crap sheet makes up shite and hope it sticks. Only trust Underhill and glazer, they are the only ones Payton likes and trusts.

Loomis would just make this team worse

You are absolutely correct. Same bull crap news and sources.
The annual “Sean Payton may leave the Saints” reports arrived late this year
Posted by Mike Florio on December 20, 2016, 3:40 PM EST
NBC SPORTS
quote:
Fall is a time for traditions. Football. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Christmas. Reports that Sean Payton may leave the Saints.
It took a little longer than usual this year, but the darts are finally flying. And as Payton himself has said in the past, eventually someone who reports that a given year may be his last year in New Orleans will be right.
This year, the Rams have become the focal point of the rumors, presumably because Payton has a daughter who attends college in Southern California. As the spitball goes, the Saints may be willing to trade Payton for not much compensation.
That’s fine, but Payton has to want to go. (The Rams also have to want him.) And if Payton believes the Saints are done with him, why cooperate in an effort to finalize a de facto trade? Under that scenario, he should simply refuse to negotiate with the Rams, and wait for the Saints to fire him.
That way, the Rams would give up nothing to get him.
Payton has twice been asked about the reports in recent days, but he has not responded to them. What more can he really say beyond the things he already has said in the past?
Again, one of the annual “Payton is leaving” reports eventually will be right. Until then, look for someone who is either trying to climb the ladder or hoping to cling to his current rung to lay the foundation for eventually being able to claim, “See! I was right!”

Payton wants the Rams job so he can fire Gregg Williams.

Sean just wants to bang LA sloots

Agree.
I bet Payton's main interest in the job, other than family reasons, is the opportunity to tell Gregg Williams to kick rocks.

Name to watch for the #Rams HC opening: #Panthers coach Ron Rivera. With a large Hispanic population in LA & a young team, it would fit.
It would be so LSU of them if it happened though.
