12. New Orleans Saints: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
The Saints haven't had much luck drafting cornerbacks in the early rounds, but the need is there. Alexander doesn't get his name mentioned much, but that's because teams stay away from his side of the field.

its ovcious you are clueless. you bet your arse mackenzie alexander is about as good of a guess right now as any. CB is definitely a long term need for us. Weren't you the one hating on keenan lewis holding up physically?

If both of these drafts were to fall this way, I would hope they would be hard pressed to pass on someone like Robinson or Billings. Would not be upset w/ Alexander, but we need to address D-Line early in the draft.

i wouldn't disappointed picking Alexander at all. He made some nice open field tackles against Alabama the other night before he had to leave the game with an injury. Plus Alabama wasn't really targeting him when he was in there.

but I'd rather see us pick the top D-lineman available at our pick #12.

I know it doesn't always work out this way but look at what the Panthers did a few years ago. They picked Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short in the 1st and 2nd Rounds respectively. Now that both are healthy at the same time they are making a big difference.

not saying we should load up at D-line early in the draft but it couldn't hurt with some of the depth issues we saw this past year.

Go Dlinemen with first 2 picks then WR/G with picks 3-4.

UNTIL WE GET A "PASS RUSHER" our D-line would make the best CB in the league look like trash.

No pressure on QB will make for horrible CB play.
