Well this is egg on NFL’s face. Per NY Post

quote:

Several sources told The Post that the league’s media division, which includes NFL Network, NFL Red Zone, NFL Films and NFL.com, is in the midst of a strategic review that will result in major cost cuts.

quote:

These cuts will likely include jobs being lost. “Given this period of broader economic uncertainty, it’s fair to say the NFL’s media group is taking an extra step or two to make sure all costs and expenditures make sense,” a source familiar with the matter said. The source added that the league’s media division is still committed to investing in growth areas such as NFL+, an OTT subscription service which launched last year. An NFL spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

It's almost as if those of us who already pay for a cable-type service, Amazon, and ESPN+ don't want to pay for something we should already have access to.

Oh and I get RedZone each year too.

Making NFL+ only available on mobile devices doomed it.

I just think they tried catering Red Zone to fantasy guys but there weren’t enough of them that didn’t have their own team they also followed and would be watching that. I love playing fantasy but when the Saints are on I watch them and don’t necessarily check on my fantasy guys.

If only they aired more than the same 3 shows on repeat, and played more historical/great games instead of showing the playoff game between the Bucs and Cowboys every night....

I can't imagine why people don't watch.

I guarantee you red zone isn’t the problem. Red zone is probably the only thing keeping them afloat.

the NFL is just not that interesting anymore. The integrity of the game has been greatly compromised.

If I'm being honest I don't watch the nfl as much since the no call. That confirmed, for me atleast, that it is all rigged. I watch it if I've got nothing else to do now.

Exactly! It's the Cowboy's personal propaganda machine! The team hasn't won anything of note in 25+ years and and they're overhyped on NFLN yearly.

I think it would be worse if the Cowboys were better. I think them being stuck in football purgatory is funny and I enjoy it.
NFL+ being only mobile make sit bad. I also hate that I don’t get NFL network nor the ability to get Sunday ticket with att/U-verse.
I use stream east for outbid market games now anyways and that is fine for games Inreally want to watch.

Yeah same here. I still want the Saints to win but I'm not upset when they lose these days. The quality in play has declined as well. There are like 5 good QBs in the league and then a logjam of mediocrity. Also, the more integrated the NFL gets with sports gambling, the more rigged it's going to get. I already saw a few games last year that looked outright rigged for betting.

If they were going streaming, they should've taken the NFL Sunday Ticket package in house. They could've packaged it with different tiers, offered true 4K video, utilized NFL Films library, All-22 replay of games, a beefed up RedZone channel, offered different camera angles, hometown radio play by play, customizable split screens for multiple games at once, etc.

The technology is there for all of this. My interest in the NFL is down from previous years, yet I would pay a lot of money for that.

This, while it’s good entertainment we all should have learned by now that’s all it is and it’s a show that has an agenda. Small market teams don’t stand a chance in this league, they put out a salary cap for parity then rig games with horrendous reffing. It is what it is and it’s an entertainment organization first and foremost.
