I think Robert Marve would be a good prospect as an UFA and project QB for Payton / Brees to coach up.

Russel Shepard at CB... Only take him in the late rounds though.

Other than the Purdue connection, someone who has suffered 3 ACL tears on top of being inconsistent isn't very desirable.

Totally different note, I would love to snag Mike Mauti from Penn State in the late round despite the tearing his ACL 3 times also. The kid's work ethic is unbelievable, and he was outperforming Mongay Teo before his injury in the second to last week.

I remember McGuffie coming out of high school. He still has my favorite highlight tape out of high school. Yes ahead of Reggie Bush. I heard Noel Devine's was nasty too but never got to watch it. If you haven't seen McGuffie in high school you should go check it out. I would post link but You Tube is blocked on my work computer

I meant UFA.. I remember there being an article saying the Saints were interested in him at CB.

Yeah, someone posted on here a tweet or something say the Saints were interested in him coming in as an UDFA CB prospect. I still think he'd be a better scat back (a la Sproles) though. Just IMO

Was he they guy who kept doing back flips over people?

Noel Devine was a pretty incredible highschool player. I still don't know how he couldn't qualify at FSU, LSU, Oklahoma or any other school, but could qualify at WVU. Hmmmmmmmmm
And all that after he stole Dieon Sanders' car.

Yeah that's him I believe but the flips weren't in game I don't think because i remember seeing him do them in shorts on the practice field. Mostly hurdling everyone if I remember I'm going to go back and watch it when i get home.

He looked like the next Barry Sanders coming out of High School. I remember the hype around McGuffie too. My biggest issue with high school film is it's biggest asset. You can easily tell who belongs at the next level, but you can't tell how good they will be at the next level. They make everyone around them look stupid, it's just "how stupid do they make them look" is the question.

The saints may not be looking at him anymore, but Phil Lutz TE Auburn will be a very productive player at the next level considering where he is projected (last I saw was round 6-7). Has all the tools to play a TE/H-Back hybrid similar to David Thomas, only better
