With all the negative comments about this years team "sucking", it wouldn't surprise me if we made the playoffs and have a hell of a year! So you whiny bitches stop your complaining!! We have played two preseason games and you guys wanna throw in the towel already!

It's pretty well known the Saints do the opposite of what the sentiment of this board is.

Sure the fact Brees nearly got killed in a preseason game is no reason to be concerned. I'm sure our OL will turn out to be one of the NFL's best this year!

Nope, I'm right. Browner and Spiller were our saving grace last year. According to this board at least during preseason.

Statistically, it was actually one of the best last year
But pass blocking around the NFL has suffered greatly too. Let's pray that Armstead stays healthy all year. The oline came together at the end of the 2015 season, but it would be nice if we were giving Peat reps where he'll start this year (at Guard).

I'm always optimistic about the Saints, because why not, but I was even predicting this would be a bad year in the middle of last season. We just made bad moves. Still, though, I'm going to act like we should win every game and be disappointed when we don't.

The bottom line is this team was put together by the coaching staff. Bad draft picks, bad free agency issues, poor decisions on contract renewals and just overall bad assessment of talent and you have what you have. I hold Sean Payton accountable for this mess of a team. Yes he won a Super Bowl one time. That entire roster is gone minus what, Drew Brees??? Ever since he got his pee pee slapped for Bounty Gate Payton hasn't been the same coach. Just saying. I think our ownership should consider firing him and hiring a real coach. Personally I cant stand Payton. The Saints will have a long season of frustration. Sorry folks. It is what it is.

He did a lot more than that. That statement alone shows you have no idea of the history of the Saints, or what he has accomplished here.
You can take the Super Bowl out, and he's still probably the best coach in franchise history. Hell, he's top 40 in winning % in NFL history for qualifying coaches (2+ seasons).

He was the same coach in 2013. He's the same coach when we have protection. Ignoring the interior line is definitely a cause for concern. Bad contracts go on the GM.

It is the preseason. The Saints were the youngest team in the NFL last season, and were sitting at .500 at the midway mark. That titans game was an abortion, and who knows how our season would have played out if Byrd/Lewis would have held onto that pick.
This is the NFL, the difference between 10-6 and 6-10 is 1 player stepping up.
I wish I could remember what this board was like in 2006 (if Saints talk even existed). That looked like an 0-16 team. Then they started the season 5-1.

Yes douche bag I know. I played the game. I also know that the coaches select the talent, coach the talent and design the X's and O's. Some blame has to be on the coaches.

Hey Tigerbait I have watched the Saints since I was a child. Grew up watching the miserable teams. For 40 years nothing more than losers. I'm entitled to my opinion. And yes I know a lot about the Saints. I do not care for Payton. I see a coach that lost his edge. Its my opinion and if you don't like it you can my arse.
