My Carr Theory I Haven’t Seen Discussed

After reading the Lombardi thread about leadership and connection concerns, I wanted to bring up something I’ve been considering since closely watching him as a saints fan every week rather than seeing box scores or nfl red zone clips.
Is it possible that yeah there’s veracity to what Lombardi is saying but also that he just is really low football IQ? He seems to have the physical tools for the most part and I guess the passion

I don’t read this board. Haven’t heard anything on local radio or national nfl coverage. Wasn’t bringing this question to ot or tiger rant

Yes. Lots of us have expressed this offense may be too advanced for him

So Pete's offense is just to advanced?
Well I think I've heard it all. We are avg 20 ppg the last three years. I wonder what the constant could be?

Well, he did score a 20 on the old Wonderlic test and if you look closely at what that test measures it all makes sense.

Jameis and Carr are low IQ system qb’s

CJ Stroud had one of the lowest wonderlic scores ever; so did Lamar Jackson. That test is garbage.

CTE? Been concussed at least twice with the Saints. The NFL hasn’t seem interested in protecting him from late hits and blows to the head.
May need a career ending medical settlement. Progression reads seem slower and reaction time appears decreased.

You know he may just suck and be in decline. Happens to a lot of qbs. We unfortunately signed him on the decline. He hit his peak and hes basically done. At the end of the day he declined and refused to improve/adapt his game because of his decline. His ego is killing this team. Hes not accurate, his mechanics are flawed, he hardly runs anymore. I remember facing him couple years ago- the guy was a different qb. He just sucks and it would be nice if he didn’t act like a douche when asked why he sucks.

So keep the staff together till we can find a IQ qb.

2 Choices in life:
A) start Taysom
B) fugg everything and everyone

Got to go with A between those two

I have no doubt Carr studies the play book & preps his body..
His weaknesses are instinct, awareness, and adapting to variables after the snap. Not book smart stuff, but innate intelligence.
He struggles with anything that diverges from the exact play he called. If his planned target(s - but usually just one) is covered, he looks confused as to what to do.
Also he is unlikeable. His blaming these deficiencies on others a real problem in the locker room.

Then why have you come to a board comprised of fans who only watch box scores and red zone clips? You probably should go back to Saints Report where the real fans are.
What a tool

Only one of these play like an intelligent qb, the other relies on athleticism.

I have felt that after he hurt his shoulder earlier this year that since then he cannot throw very deep.
