He can’t be traded because we restructured his contract. It would annihilate our cap.

And no, even if we could, we shouldn’t. Even with him, a top 5 player at the position, WR is still our biggest position of need. The absolute dumbest thing this team could do is trade him.

Yeah let's trade our best wr (even though he's a racist diva) for what exactly. Saints still been too cheap to sign anyone available so I'm thinking getting rid of Thomas at this point would be a dumb idea.

Take a step back and think about this statement. Teams (if this is true about GB) are trying to trade for star WRs instead of picking up the FA WRs that are out there. And, after the teams trade away those star WRs, they aren't trying to scoop up any of the guys that are currently out in the market.

I hope they plan on making a move for Olave or Jameson. We need a legit deep threat I think we are covered everywhere else with the squad we have now. Just having Thomas back in the lineup will make what we already have better.

Packers traded away Davante Adams instead of paying him top dollar, why would they trade assets to pay Michael Thomas top dollar? Also trade would hurt us financially severely.

I'm surprised Packers haven't pursued Jarvis Landry, seems to me like he could fill that old Randall Cobb role pretty well

I mean he can be a flower child drag queen idc, the NFL is a business and only cares about money he can have whatever opinion he wants that's what makes America great.

He's not truly racist, just ignorant like much of the NFL.

Doesn't matter at this point, just don't nuke the team from within (like calling out your future HOF QB for the most white bread statement ever) and you're ok in my book.

Basically what I was getting at. There are a lot of name recognition WRs out there in FA and none of these teams that need a WR are trying to bring them in. It isn't just the Saints not trying to sign them.

This - when you restructure someone it basically signals that you aren't trading them anytime soon.

Naw. Everything they've done says 'win now' (rather than retool/rebuild). No way they get rid of the best WR that we have.

The Saints are a lot of things but cheap is not one of them.

Love the idea, but would wait to make sure Olave or Willams are available at 16 or 19 before pulling the trigger.
