What offer would you make to move into position to pick Freeman?

Something's gotta give.. I'm inclined to believe the combine and pro-day numbers don't tell the whole story

i don't expect a guy like marcus freeman to be our savior

no, and in the fourth round he doesn't need to be. I don't have a problem taking any player at that point who can be potential.

I'd like for the Saints to take Andre Brown, unless they have a solid defensive player in mind.

I'm not even sure a guy like Marcus Freeman will start over Dan Morgan next year

I agree that he's not the fastest guy on the field to play DB, but I always thought he found the ball well and managed to break up a lot of plays.

I've never been a fan of using 40 times as the end-all-be-all measure of NFL success anyway

for some positions it's just a measure of overall athleticism

it's really important for CBs

He was mocked around #15 last year

based on his reported "4.3" time that was false

if he came out last year and ran his 4.55-4.60 he'd have fallen to the end of the draft

The Saints organization obviously thinks very highly of him

they don't have the best track record with DBs

i mean this guy is a lot like antrel rolle, with the same questions. where is rolle playing?

the thing about andre brown is diminishing returns..you can get similar guys a lil later

brown is also an underachiever...in the ACC

agreed

and with him it's a lot more than concussions

even before the concussion worries, he had a litany of injuries that kept him out of a LOT of games

Payton's only drafted 1 CB on day 1 before

he did a pretty good job there IMO

Marcus Freeman was the OLB I tagged as the guy I wanted long ago; if he's in reach of what our two 4ths could get us, we should go for it. Hopefully Saitns can pull off some free agent trade or something for a RB ( M Bush maybe? ).
