but the point remains that a guy as successful as he was in college with a draft grade in the mid first is absolutely worth the pick in the third or later rounds.
There was a player last year who had a huge fallout, Vontaze Burfict. He went undrafted but the Bengals ended up signing him. He went on to lead them in tackles this past year.
At one time Burfict looked to be a pretty high draft pick but he had a bad combine and it was reported that he was out of shape at his Pro Day workout.
It will be interesting to see how Te'o responds to his own situation.
