If this happens, I'm picking another team to ride with until both of them are gone. I refuse to support a team that has no direction and a will to get better. Payton brought us out of the fire and I sure as.hell am not going back.

Loomis is not blind. The Saints brass see what we see. This is a controlled demolition while trying to squeeze as much out of the business on the way down as possible.
I wonder what reason they would have for doing this ? Maybe the Catholic church don’t want to wait on their money.

Maybe they got the tip off that Mickey was retiring and stepping into a role in the organization more behind the scenes assisting Gayle. Might make a little since as to why Mickey is ignoring the ineptitude of this coaching staff figuring that the next GM should be the one to make the call and bring in his guy.
Might also playing into that speech yesterday about cherishing the people around you when you're in those moments.

Mainly because most owners tend to move on and change regimes. Good for Mickey but sure did help having Payton/Brees for so long racking up those wins.
