At some point, they're going to have to use something to argue vs. jimmy's agents that he is a TE, not a WR

They should use these stats from NFL.com

Official NFL stats for 2013 wide receivers.
Jimmy Graham has:
Zero catches
Zero TD's
Zero Yards

6 years 57.5 million 22 million guaranteed

I agree with this completely. My point has been he will get better than Gronkowski, who signed a 6yr $53mill w/ $16 guaranteed. These numbers you post will be where Jimmay falls: same years, higher total and higher guaranteed, all withing fair distance of Gronki's.

Here are the two points of the contract:
1. Franchise will be between TE or WR, and I believe he will win the argument that he is to be franchised as a WR. I also think he should, because this is how they mainly used him. This does not mean I believe he should be paid as a Top5 WR, and that's where signing to a long term contract comes in...

2. Long term deal should not pay him as a Top5 WR. He isn't. He's the #1 TE who plays like a top 10 WR. He should be paid accordingly, and those numbers are fair.
