There's only one team that has more fans in Shreveport than the New Orleans Saints, and it ain't the Dallas Cowboys.

I read that some cheerleaders were coming, but nothing about any players.

I saw the pics on the NewsStar's website and Brees is not there...or at least he hasn't been yet. I went by there at lunch to check it out and waaaay to many people for me on an hour lunch break. But if you liked "Beerman" Michael Lewis, he is there signing free autographs and there are a few Sainsations as well

Real fans that live out of market get Sunday Ticket

I'm tired of this stupid arse bull shite about everyone from Shreveport are Cowboys fans. FWIW, I know just as many Dallas fans from the Lafayette area as I do from the Shreveport area.

Sunday Ticket didn't exist in the late 80's and early 90's. We were stuck with the crappy arse Cowgirl games. I'll never forget how excited my Granddad got when the Saints were actually on TV in Shreveport.

GTFO. In all seriousness it is actually getting better. The reason for all the Cowboys fans around here (aside from the proximity to Dallas) is because the Saints were so bad for such a long time, the affiliates around here would show the Cowboys games so people rarely got the chance to watch the chance to see the Saints play. Hard to be a fan of a team if you can't watch their games. But the Fox affiliate here (which is a sorry piece of shite) has gotten better about showing Saints games. Thank God.

+ 1,000,000 On the Monroe sports yesterday somebody said it was too bad thier was so many boys in Monroe.I guess if its said enough thier will be some people that believe it, if the boys replaced the Saints as the primary team shown on Sundays thier would be a riot ,everywhere but Shreveport. The KNOE announcer came back and said basically, what is he talking about? Monroe is solid Saints as all of North La. is. He did say that Shreveport had a lot of boys, but even there ,its still tipped in favor of the Saints. This myth that all north La. is boy country is just that a myth, its at least 90% Saints fans always has been. The Saints even claim being the La.Saints. The people there have always supported the Saints. In fact it was Gov McKiethen(sp) that was responsible for the dome and the Saints and he is from Caldwell parish.North La has paid its fair share in supporting the Saints and building the dome.Ill admit Shreveport could do better but look where they are.
Here is something Ill never forget after the SP win an inpromptu parade broke out with most of the town riding around celebating, this is a north La town of about 1500, that is amazing. They never did that for the boys, I know of 3 boy fans in the whole town

Dont remind me! The sports directors AFTER Jack McCall} at KNOE were always from Shreveport. They were they guys that could not get the same job in NW La, so they hated the Cowboys. In the 70s KNOE always showed the Cowboys!
