Houston would indeed be a good spot for him. He'd be back in Texas, in a manageable division, has a decent to good (good because of DH10) WR corps.

Come on dude? If you find a trading partner you can allow Brees and whatever team it is to work out a new contract. Happens all the time

Drew Brees is NOT the problem.

Anyone that thinks Brees is still elite isn't paying attention.

Drew needs to step up and take a PAY CUT not an extension. Like maybe resign for 2 years at 30 million.giving us a free year!!!!

Completely disagrree as that wouldn't be a smart business decision. I'd look at drafting a QB first round and have him work under Brees for 2-3 years, then move him up and let Brees retire if he chooses.
I'd also look at a new GM, but that is unlikely.

The Saints are about 2-3 more drafts from being legit. One more draft is not going to make a difference. His cap hit next year is too much to justify keeping him on the team with what little quality players we have on offense and defense. Also, I have little faith in the coaching staff to even develop any new players to make the team into contenders.
