Le’s be frank: Taysom Hill doesn’t bring much to the team

And if you disagree; please tell us what he does bring that any other athletic player wouldn’t.
Thanks
Thanks

If it were so easy to find a single player to do all of the things he does, why haven't we seen the Saints or any other team play a utility player like Taysom?

Versatility. He brings versatility like no other player
Name a player in the NFL that could block, catch passes, throw passes somewhat competently, and run the ball as well as him.
Could another athletic player do some of those things? Sure. But that hypothetical player likely doesn't have the experience and skill set QB that he has. Not that Taysom is an extremely skilled QB or anything. Just that he's more skilled than a player who can do the rest that I listed.

7 completions is 2 years? A scat back could easily put up those numbers and rush and catch for more yardage.

Damn he's still playing?
How many punts did he block?

He is not in the nfl.
Try again dufus

he's pretty freakishly athletic (which eliminates a lot of other athletes)
he's not only freakishly athletic, he's versatile and relishes playing multiple positions (which eliminates freakishly athletic people who aren't tall/strong enough to play RB, TE, and special teams)
he's actually good enough to be feared at the QB positions, so teams don't actually know what's coming and he's not strictly a decoy
TL;DR aren't that many athletes out there that bring all that Taysom does to the field, and there aren't many QBs out there that are athletic enough to pull it off
This is the same generic answers everyone gives. A master of many. But what does he do?

1. had a better passer rating than Brees
2. had more rushing yards than the rest of the team combined
3. caught the only TD pass and scored one of the two TDs
4. made a solo ST tackle and
5. generally was the only player worth a damn that game.
Any other stupid questions?

Certainly, 1 TD and a tackle isn’t worth 17 M.

Not take up four roster spots by mastering the "many"
So, you hope he is the Saints next QB?

Just because we haven't utilized his passing as much doesn't mean that threat isn't there and something teams have to respect. I'm sure a defensive coordinator is more worried about Taysom Throwing the ball on a play than he is of Kamara. That factors into how the defense reacts to him

How stupid are you?
Taysom Hill plays four positions on offense for the Saints. He plays quarterback, running/full back, wide receiver and tight end. No other player in the league can do that. Oh and by the way, he’s been a core special teamer the last three years too — returned kicks, blocked punts in that time span.
When he’s on the field defenses don’t know what position/role he is in. You can’t just assume it’s a gadget play for him because he can block out on the edge, you can’t treat him as Jay Cutler lined out wide because can run routes, and when he’s at quarterback you have to account for not only him throwing the ball but also power, counter and zone runs.
