We got a new hole stomped in our rear. Saints had no answers and no chance to change the momentum. It looked like we simply was playing a different brand of football than we ever seen, like the forward pass making its debut into football.
I like the minds of our coaches and they will study and prepare for this next meeting. There is a silver lining if we never had this loss we would not have the film of last night to get ready and prepare for the post season game, we will play them again.

The system of offense that has worked for us in the past is not going to work in games like Seattle. Noise is a huge factor, so making tons of adjustments at the line is not a possibility. In this type of scenario, all you can do is leave the huddle with a run and pass option. QB will relay with hand signals to the WRs when the play changes, and use close calls to the backfield for blocking adjustments. Brees can't do it all in a loud environment. Also it'd be nice if our linemen looked like blockers and not turnstiles.

The Saints have glaring weaknesses that are exposed on the road. Last night they could not stop Seattle on third down to save their life, and Seattle had their way with them offensively. The Saints could not move the ball consistently, and that really hurt them too.

And come on, with nine seconds left and a timeout, Sean Payton elects for them to kneel the ball when they could try to throw it down the field, with the hopes of at least a completion, leading to a timeout and field goal?!

If Cam Newton does what Russell Wilson was able to do, I don't like our chances.

That 3rd and 9 when Seattle was just about in their own damn end zone (right after that play that SP SHOULD have challenged) ... everyone thinking we get the ball back in good field position ... go down ... make it a 20-14 game.

Instead ... we let them convert that ... then march it all the way to the fricking end zone ... 27-7.

Yeah ... that really didn't work out the way it was supposed to.

Agree 100%. For better or worse, Payton's system is designed for controlled environments. It's just the way it is, and the record bears this out. Saints just don't have the muscle to impose their will on a top D, and they rely to a fault on so many plays that depend on having sufficient time to develop.

They also haven't run the ball consistently or with commitment since 2009. I was disappointed that Payton did not come out with some wrinkles, something to go against tendencies. Seattle was ready to pounce from the whistle.

Thank you so much for this....I've been needing a thread like this today. I've been feeling so distraught since the game last night...I hardly slept. But now you come along with this healing thread, and I suddenly feel relaxed and at peace. Bless you.

Pretty much nothing will make the Saints better from a beatdown like that. If won't change the fact that the O-line is not physical enough. And honestly the D-line isn't either.

I want revenge in our house. Bad.

That seahawk team has taken on the same dirty shite talking identity that Pete Carroll's USC teams had.

They had a top rushing attack in 2011, but it hasn't been consistent since.

I'm not sure how getting annihilated will cure the offensive woes this team has dealt with all season.
