So since we have a $1+ billion franchise along with an NBA team, our goal should be to exceed them every year.
I agree, but facilities can only do so much to reduce injuries. No amount of facilities is going to make a difference when you have an injury prone player and a slow healer like Eric Gordon, don't know the player's history with that type of injury like the Pels didn't know with Jrue, a player that wants to try every option before attempting the last resort therapy of microfracture like Pondexter, or you have player like Jimmy Graham that is determined to "play thru the pain."

That is an issue with the whole NFL not just the Saints. The way the NFL handles there whole injury reporting procedure needs to change.
I'm saying that he shouldn't have played. We got 65% Jimmy for the remainder of the season instead of getting 95% Jimmy at the end of the year
I agree. What concerns me more than the facilities is what Lewis hints at, and that is CSP and the other coaches expected players backs ASAP and expecting them to play at less than 100% instead of giving them the extra time to get back to 100%. That has nothing to do with the facilities, the medical staff, or training staff, but is on the players and the coaches.

It's time for Payton to get the Les Miles treatment.

Obum Gwacham to IR. Made his first appearance on Monday, got in for 7 plays, done for the season.

this looks like more of storing away a player for next season to make roster moves at needs

Shouldn't we be looking at Marcus Murphy for that then? Since we don't let him return punts cause he fricks up 25% of them, kick returns don't matter unless you're coverage sucks like ours, and he'll never play on offense.
Since we can't get a pass rush we should probably try to keep a dude who serves no role but pass rushing available.

His only role was special teams and bench
And I'm all for getting rid of murphy.
