Keenan Lewis - Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who thinks the Saints should approach Keenan about a contract extension to (1) appease him (2) show good faith (3) lock up a good conerback for longer for cheaper than he will be when his contract expires.

Contract extension?
He has 3 years remaining. I do think we should guarantee part of his 2016 contract and convert the remaining $2.1 million of roster bonus into a signing bonus as a reward for playing through injury.
Still, he's going to be 31 after this deal

I wish we could guarantee some of his contract which I think is the right thing to do but its a business. He did take a pay cut to be here so show some loyalty to him.

If they do that now, he will likely want to renegotiate the whole contract and get what FA cb'S are getting right now. He has out performed his contact by a wide margin.

Probably.
But you aren't the only one to think they should consider something to reward the guy for his hard work that he's put in and being under market in doing so.

Only problem is CSP doesn't strike me as the type to like someone calling him out on social media.
Keenan is a bargain and a good player, and worth it.

I don't think I would do an extension, but I would meet him half way and fully guarantee his 2016 salary.

He's earned some of his money to be guranteed. Not all of it but some. We can't afford to lose him
