Would we even have enough money, trade value to pursue him? He's obviously done in Seattle.

Well, assuming Seattle would be willing to trade him (which they wouldn't), the Saints would have to restructure several contracts and probably cut one maybe two good players to fit him in. Not to mention the trade itself which would mean probably giving up Vacarro and a 2nd rd pick since Chancellor is a SS. Would he really be worth all that?

Unless we are getting cap space back through a retirement, Byrd's going to cost us whether he is here or not. We can't just reallocate that money otherwise.
