Actually we got Shockey just before Training Camp. We traded the following years draft picks for him.

How did I remember that one wrong? Getting old ... Doesn't change my point, though.

Sorry, but this is just dumb. There are all kinds of things in this world that can be known from basic logic which don't require links. Maximus is right that we are going to be looking for a large DT to clog the middle, not another small one

I appreciate the support.

It's not dumb....the point is, there isn't any proof that this is what they're going to specifically address with that pick in the draft. That's the point I'm making, but apparently this is over everybody's head.

I really have no idea who the FO will pick at 32. Logic points to picking a DT or DE (assuming neither is plugged in FA). I think if Clausen is still on the board @ 32, there will be a trade and we'll pick up an additional 3rd rounder. Payton has shown that he's not afraid to go after the BPA, no matter what the position (see Meachem). With Williams here and having Payton's ear, I still tend to believe that we'll pick on the defensive side of the ball...but there's no guarantee of that. My post just points out just how wide open this draft is for the Black & Gold.

drum dog dont argue with max, its like arguing with a woman. he's never wrong you're never right... it's never gonna happen

so, do you agree with shitbrains that we should waste a first rounder on a backup for Ellis and Hargrove?

and, ironically, you both have the football knowledge of a woman

Max....calm down. If that's true (the woman statement), then not only are you at the very least ridiculously incompetent but apparently chauvinistic and sexist.

If you didn't think you sounded like an arse before, you certainly look like one now.
