You have teams that are in need, why delay the inevitable?

If it's inevitable shouldn't we do everything we can to delay it as much as possible? That starts with keeping Drew Brees.

Apparently 31 ppg, 335 passing yards a game, 67% completion percentage, 14 TD to 4 Int ratio, 103 QB rating just isn't good enough to justify keeping him anymore

Hey Kujo. You have a right to your opinion but check out this story from about 3 years back. Also I believe that Drew can last as much as 10 more seasons. Maybe at not quite at his current level but close. Go ahead and laugh but here is my theory. He has taken exemplary care of himself. So far he has suffered a minimal amount of injuries. He is small and compact which offers a lower center of gravity which affords less stress on your joints, cartilage ,tendons etc. His intermediate style of passing coupled with the fact that in the pros an accurate arm is more important than a cannon arm.
Most importantly though his positive attitude.
I am not demeaning you because you have a legitimate question and every right to ask it. Have a good evening.

He literally has a no trade clause....

And having a right to an opinion doesn't make an opinion free from scrutiny or even equal to another opinion. Just so you know....

I imagine a similar mindset is what the types of dudes that chop off their own dicks have.

Just desperate to mutilate themselves...maybe even on a whim.

I hate these threads. But consider this...if we trade Brees, we become as good as the Bears and Jets because we don't have a QB and end up with 15 QBs over 12 seasons like the Bears and jets drafting first round QB after first round QB which takes away from the talent level of the team as a whole. Then all of a sudden we aren't even as good as the Bears or Jets. More like the Browns or Jags. I'll delay that as long as possible.

Payton is the problem. Not Brees

Would trading Brees to the Jets or Bears even be something either team would entertain with their records? Asinine trade suggestions.
