Look... we all know he had a bad game last night

but now let's look ahead to our next opponent... San Francisco

we all remember the game last season against the 49ers

Jared Cook was thrown to twice... he caught both for TDs... ending with 64 receiving yards

and on the 2nd TD a 49er DB headshot him to give him a concussion and take him out of the game

that was all in the 1st quarter... just barely 10 minutes into the game

you have to know Cook wants to have that monster game he was deprived of last season

40 Whiners have a long history of hitting our players in the head and taking them out of the game. Pierre Thomas in the 2011 NFCDG says hello.

Jared Cook has this weird trait where the reliability of his hands is inversely related to the difficulty level of the catch.

Wide open? Bobble and unsure.

Stretching going backwards while getting KTFO'd in the endzone against SF? Snagged.

I dare say our backup QB has better hands than Cook lol

Every time he catches a ball, he looks shocked. I hold my breath. Dude is such a good athlete but damn he makes me nervous

He also leisurely carries the ball like a loaf of bread when he runs with it. He's such a freak athlete it takes a lot to bring him down, but I'm screaming the entire time for him to just go down.

He was definitely the only one not clicking last night. But I still rather have him than not.

Was he not clocking tho? He was getting wide open.

This is just who he is. He has a history of drops and fumbles but he’s a necessary evil for us. Hopefully Trautman is learning and gaining confidence

He had a bad game, it happens. Luckily everyone else look superb. I have no doubt Cook will bounce back with some big plays and games down the stretch

Yep, that was his calling card. Tough for rookie pass catchers to make an instant impact, especially one coming from Dayton, but I’d say he’s on the right path. Arrow pointing up

He had a bad game and was about the only blemish on an otherwise perfect game. But that happens. I don’t know if it’s related or not, but Trautman got some reps and looked good. Hopefully that gets him more involved in the offensive game plan and we can see some big passes off of play action with two TEs.

My bigger worry with San Fran is Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan having another dick measuring contest with each side putting up 50 points.

He was getting more of josh hill's snaps.

Jared cook seems to only play bat 60 to 65% of the snaps

He scares me anytime he fights for yardage.
If he wasn't so soft he would be unstoppable

I don't think soft is the right word, but I know what you mean.
