It's time to admit the defense is a cultural issue.

Replace the players, replace the defensive coaching staff, still the same exact results. The culture that Payton has brought to New Orleans is soft AF. It absolutely will not change until he's gone. That, along with his dumbass inability to allow any of our tailbacks to get into any sort of rhythm has fricked us.

This one is for you, Sean

We did nothing to improve our pass rush. Until we fix that our D will suck.

Dennis Allen previously had 1 year experience as a DC, and his defense at wasn't very good. Why CSP decided not to go after an experienced DC is beyond me.

We left a lot of meat on the bone(pass rushers) in the draft in a time where pass rush is more important than ever due to the rules favoring the passing game.

It's honestly kind of mind boggling. This D is almost a completely different group from the past ones, even last year, and the problems are almost exactly the same. How the frick can you possibly field two different sets of 11 guys that are the two worst defenses ever? Same team?? What are the chances?

It has to be coaching. There is no other logical explanation. It is NOT talent evaluation, it is NOT lack of player execution, it is coaching. fricking period.
