It's pretty simple guys. We have no playmakers.

You can say all you want but when it comes down to it, there's absolutely no one on this team right now we can count on. I don't think we've been this completey devoid talent in more than a decade.

It's a combination of that combined with the players we do have not even making plays as well.

Yeah, when Willie Snead is your best WR, things are bad. He's a poor man's Lance Moore/Devery Henderson and they were never more than a 3rd or 4th option. Cam Jordan is a solid DE. But he's not great and he's our best defensive player.

The only position that is set is RB. But we mismanage the use of them.

I do like Kikaha and Anthony. They are still young though.

Halloween is not far off.

For a good scare, look at the Saints roster and try to find NFL level talent there. It's bound to be a frightening experience that will haunt you for years to come.

Sean Payton needs to be fired.

New head coach can clean up the staff, bring in a new offensive coordinator, etc....

Let's start looking for a replacement.

Bears will draft a QB... Maybe we're drafting 2 or 3 with a chance to choose between the best WR in the draft and the best pass rusher. That would be fun.

We have a lot of great, young talent on defense right now. Idk if Ryan is the guy to develop them or not though.

The offense is a completely different story. It's all kinds of fricked.

Can you use a first round draft pick on selecting the rights to a player that wont be available until the 2017 season? (Fournette)

This is what happens when you are rebuilding. It will be fought this year and next year. Hopefully we will make our run after that.

All the people wanting to get rid of Brees and Payton are stupid as hell though. Look at Cleveland and Buffalo and Miami and Oakland and Jacksonville and let us know how that strategy is going.

Sometimes "I told you so" just doesn't cut it.

I'd like to hear your argument for why Payton should remain head coach and offensive coordinator. What has he done to show you he deserves those positions the last three years?

Consistency in rebuilding is better than starting over during a rebuild.

After six seasons of going to the playoffs, Cowher went 7-9, 6-10 & 9-7 and everyone wanted him fired. But the Steelers stuck with him. He went to the playoffs and went 1 and done then 6-10. Then the Super Bowl.

Tom Coughlin went to the playoffs three years in a row with Jacksonville. Then he went 7-9, 6-10 & 6-10 and was fired. Same as in New York. He wins two Super Bolws, goes 9-7, 7-9 & 6-10 and all of a sudden he's the worst coach ever.

I'd like to see Payton give up his play calling for a year or two and concentrate on managing the team. But it's not like he's the worst coach in the NFL all of a sudden. If Colston doesn't fumble or drop balls all the time, if Coleman was worth a crap, if the offensive line didn't have more holes than a strainer, then the team would sustain drives and everyone would think Payton was a great coach. Also, we aren't getting Gruden or Bilacheck or anyone. Who out there is better? I don't want to fire a coach just because if we don't have a better replacement.

Trying to take a rational approach to this.

"I'd like to see Payton give up his play calling for a year or two and concentrate on managing the team"

Therein lies the problem. He is far too stubborn and hard-headed to do this. The sad thing is that he is running the offense and the offense sucks.
