I may pull for the Texans if they hire Gruden. He's washed. I'll take Curry for next season and the the full purge if it doesn't work. But frick Gruden.

His team was a little busy this past weekend.
Cleveland managed to get him in their building.

I don’t think that they would turn down the job because he might get fired. But certain jobs are more appealing than others. And this job is simply less appealing than most for a few different reasons. If two teams offer the same guy, and he doesn’t chose your team, he’s turning you down. Why would one chose another team over us? A lot of reasons. If you disagree, let me know, I’d love to go round and round on the topic.
the best HC in the history of the franchise literally just did this.

The Saints know we don't. As you remember they had Gru come in during camp work with Carr, talk offence and listen to him. I'm sure he said a lot. So looking back they can add up what he got wrong and what he got right. I think this will determine any future he may have with the team. Maybe he was full of sh!t and bad advise. Maybe he was right about a lot but it wasn't used. Only he and the Saints staff know how right or wrong he was. We will see.

I'm pretty sure the last time a Gruden team had any real redzone success was when he had Mike Alstott in Tampa. Gruden as the OC or HC would be par for the course for the Saints right now.
Not disagreeing, but it's hard to use the Raiders as a barometer of coaching success. Pretty sure the last time they got anywhere in the postseason was with Gruden 20+ years ago.
