I was reading that Seattle may sign Brandon Marshall to the offer sheet and give up there 6th pick in the 1st round for him as a tender. Could Seattle possibly trade with another team in the first round for a later, less valuable pick and get maybe an extra 3rd round pick then use that 1st round pick as the tender? Is the tender of a 1st round pick equal whether it's the Seahawks 6th pick or the Saints 32nd?

They will do a sign and trade type situation for Marshall.

No Im pretty sure the rule is you give up your pick. So if they were to get the saints first round pick they couldnt give that to the Broncos and keep their 6th pick. Theyd give up the 6th pick and keep the 32nd. If im understanding what your asking.
