Is Carmichael on any teams OC list?

There are a lot of opening for OC and so far I have not seen any media reports of Carmichael name surfacing in any teams conversations. I am not sure what that says about what the rest of the league already knew about his abilities or is he just sitting out other opportunities and satisfied just being QB coach?
If he is not interested in being the guy as an OC, then why would the saints have had to fire him instead of just voluntarily take the demotion back to QB coach?
