but I think we can all agree that if Brees goes down our season is screwed

I Always hate when people make this point. This is true for every team in the league. You lose your best player and you're screwed. Thank you captain obvious.

So, hypothetically, if we started 4-0, and Brees went down with a minor injury and we lost the next 2-3 games, we still would not be in the hunt? The situation with us being pinned down with early losses means we would be screwed, even with a minor injury. Look at Green Bay last year with Rodgers. You still need a viable backup to keep you in the games if your starter goes down. You're acting like I am referring to a season-ending injury. Get your head out of your tailpipe.

An LSU fan who lives in Atlanta posting on the Saints board about his personal feelings.

I hate everything about you.

Don't be ignorant. It wasn't stat padding. It was a few very good drives by our offense in a comeback attempt that at one point seemed possible.

8-8 looks like a long shot to me... some tough teams coming into the Dome over the next couple months and not many winnable road games to offset a dropped game or two at home.

and we are running out of time. window has been open a long time and won't be there forever. My worst nightmare is us never being able to let go of the 2011 season. we need another SB win and quickly or that damn season will haunt us forever. that was our 2nd super bowl winning team. we slaughter the G men at home in the NFCCG and then we outscore the pats as their D was not great that year at all last i checked. Thanks again defense for blowing that game against the niners!

You're a moron if you think that we didn't have a chance to win before the Graham fumble.

You're a moron if you think the Saints defense could hold the Cowboys to 0 points while our offense scores 4 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.

The world's biggest moron.

OH, Dallas is immune to fumbling the ball, and (prior to Graham's fumble) Brees is incapable of scoring 2 touchdowns? At that point it was a 2 possession game and they were moving the ball. You sir need to be admitted to the Colo-cranial Home for the Thinking-Impaired.

Yeah it was pretty bad. Was like watching the primate exhibit in a zoo get into a poo-flinging match. Then the next day I come on here and pick a fight with somebody. You're not really a moron SportsGuyNOLA.

I'm not here to fight.

I'm still dealing with what happen last night, and getting pretty frustrated with this team this early in the season. I hope they can turn it around, but I just don't see this defense improving.

True Saints fans, like the majority on here, know that a meltdown isn't even merited for this performance.

We all got a nice reality check during the Cleveland game, and the Vikings game, while a W, had many of us not really believing things were going to get better.

It's just going to be a down year, but sometimes you need those to move forward.
