Well now that the front office knows you don't approve, I'm sure they will change their direction

Don't worry. I see no way they take him in the 1st.

To me he's a white Vince Young without the college level success. Don't want at all.

If we pick Paxton Lynch, there is a trade in the works for either Lynch or Brees.

No way we use our #12 to pick Paxton Lynch.

I will self-ban myself for a month if we do.

There's no way we take him. I think right now the best course of action IF Lynch somehow falls to 12 is to trade down with either the Jets or maybe even the Broncos. The Broncos really don't need much right now besides a QB and I'd bet for them to move from 31 to 12 would be a couple 1st rounders and mid round picks.

I will be happy.

The administration will have realized that the Saints can't win with the team in its current configuration (roster and salary cap). With Brees off the cap, lots of money to spend on free agents.

Connor Cook is better and Mel Kiper agrees!

So the key to success is lynch plus cap space?

Do you realize how dumb that sounds?

It's pretty hard to piss me off. It takes something very blatant or very stupid. Taking Lynch at #12 would make me turn the TV off & effectively ruin my night.

He's literally the only pick that would make me lose all faith.

The dude is an arse clown. He looks like a freaking Backstreet Boy/Road Rules douche from the early 2000s, had a terrible Wonderlic score and ran a gimmick offense that required no ability to read a defense.

He's a cross between Ryan Mallet and Vince Young. Total bust. I wouldn't draft him at all in any round.

The Vince Young comparisons are hilarious. Some real draft experts up in here.

Would be a really dumb pick, unless the Saints trade Brees, which ain't gonna happen. I am a huge Brees' fan and believe the correct strategy is to keep him for the foreseeable future, and try to build a good defense and add some more o-line protection and WR talent for him. However ... how would you feel about this trade: Saints trade Brees to Jets; in return, we get Wilkerson, their 1st round pick, and, their 2d round pick? I would take Doctson w/ the 1st round pick, then w/ 2 round picks could nab a quality D-tackle and CB, or OG. ??

Guess I should've added, we take Lynch w/ our #1; Doctson w/the Jets #1.

Doing the same thing every year and going 7-9 sounds better? Why not try something different?

I don't fault you for having that opinion, but Lynch better be a starting caliber QB for us to take him at #12. I don't think he is, but some people do think he is.

That being said...we can win a championship with Brees, while at the same time building our defense and O-Line. Just imagine what would happen if we had to turn this team over to Lynch with this current offense & defense.. Basically, we have to bolster the rest of our team, in preparation for when Brees leaves. That's the big picture.
