They just showed a quick interview with Trent Cole during NFL kickoff on espn. Asked him about facing Terron Armstead.

"I'm gonna tell you straight how it is. He's a rookie. I'll say it again, he's a rookie. And I'm gonna come with no mercy. When a veteran like me see's a rookie in like that, I'm gonna take advantage of the situation and that's what it is"

I've been trying to not think about how Armstead is gonna play but I'll be honest... it scares me quite a bit.

Brees is one of the best all time at carving up a heavy blitz scheme like the Eagles use often, but lately the LT position has taken away that advantage from us.

Armstead you better bring your fricking lunch pale, gas can and whatever else you got... bc if you protect Drew he will put on a clinic against Phillys garbage secondary.

Yeah. He has 2 games under his belt now, so you'd think his tendencies can be zeroed in on and corrected the best they can. It still won't be enough for a cocky veteran like Cole... he will get his at some point. But you can bet your sweet arse they are feeding Armstead as much game film on Cole as humanly possible. So let's pray he is able to hold his own on Saturday.

Didn't Greg Hardy abuse him?

Sounds like Trent Cole is just telling it how it is... There is a glaring weakness at offensive line, more specifically left tackle, and I think we have all noticed that throughout the season. Sean Payton is going to need Mark Ingram to chip some defensive ends and help block in this game, and that might take Darren Sproles out of his gameplan more than usual.

I guess you had to see the clip. He came off like a cocky bitch and he wasn't even provoked. You woulda thought Armstead had been talking shite about him so Cole was just firing back. Except that's not what happened. I get it I guess bc no veteran wants to be asked what he thinks about facing a rookie but it just seemed very toolish.

Cole chose to put his money where his mouth is instead of dodging the question in a humble manner like a proven vet should do.

Then again, I would of likely found his comments amusing had he not been talking about my Saints. Either way, I hope it adds a little fuel to Armstead tmrw.

Cole ate Bushrod alive when the Bears played the Eagles on Sunday Night Football a few weeks ago.

yeah, I'm right there with you. Like you said though, if Armstead can hold up pretty well the offense should be good to go.

the baptism by fire against Greg Hardy may end up paying off some. I think Hardy is just an overall better player anyway.
