I’d like to know where all the Grupe bandwagon fans went?

In the preseason everyone was all about Grupe and would shite on anyone that said they would still rather have the guy that has experience and has made pressure kicks even if he was coming off a down year. I was one of the people who liked Grupe but I said we should still keep Lutz over the kid and got downvoted to hell and back for it. Now those people are awfully silent.

Dude our minimum wage kicker missing kicks is the smallest issue of our team.

Cost us against Green Bay and Houston.

there never was one

it was the get rid of lutz bandwagon you speak of

we all hoped grupe could do the job, not like we got to vote on it anyways, but like everything else this coaching staff does, they failed to correctly evaluate and select the best player.

lutz had to go, but grupe was a bad replacement

Grupe isn't going anywhere. Allen said so in the press conference last night

Pretty short sighted. Green Bay, we punted every other (5) 2nd half possessions except for the missed 46 yd fg kick. We allowed a punt return td. Grupe missed the kick, sure. Cut him whatever, it’s the easiest and least difficult problem on deck.

Same place the Carr bandwagon fans from spring and summer went. Can't find them with the Hubble telescope now.

I'm actually fine with sticking with Grupe. Justin Tucker excluded kickers are fairly unpredictable basketcases. Cade York is available but he was awful in Cleveland. Could he get his mojo back, sure but who knows.

He missed a twenty nine yard field goal that was absolutely crushing to our momentum in Houston and a 41 yard kick in perfect conditions that literally cost us a game.

A rare horrible opinion from Chad, the best poster on Saints Talk

He did. I guess I’ve just seen enough shite misses from lutz lately to that the decision on grupe doesn’t bother me nearly as much. Is there a better fa out there right now? Maybe. Should da have brought in kickers to tryout at least? Maybe? Grupe is a rookie, his learning curve just doesn’t anger me like the failures of the rest of the veterans and rosters do.
