Project Peat is finally having a strong season after struggling in his first 2 seasons not living up to his 1-13 draft selection thus earning the nickname I gave him!!! Just hope he continues to improve and become Pro Bowl Peat!!!

No one who actually follows the team has called him Project Peat. He's been solid for a while now but due to injuries Payton had to keep shuffling him. He's finally playing his NFL position and playing how he would have been if not forced to move.

Peat was a LT at Stanford and drafted by the Saints in 2015 to play OT especially to be Streif's replacement at RT. He couldn't beat Stief out and was bounced around filling in for various injured players on the O line. Payton had to find a spot for a 1-13 draft pick and fortunately Peat seems to have found a home at LG. Hope he continues to have a dominating season and becomes a Pro Bowl OG.
