I don't keep up with the rest of the NFL nearly like I used to.

Same here. Similar to when I finally realized that Olivia Newton John was not into me.

Yep
The love just isn't there anymore. Rarely do I watch a game anymore that isn't the Saints.

This is a board full of Saints fans. But I can honestly say I watch 90% less NFL than I use to.

Last thing I watched was the 2020 draft. Used to live and breathe the stuff.

The NFL has plenty of problems, but the idea that everything is rigged is
Silly.

The Rams no-call was all about getting a winner in the LA market that the NFL doubled down on. NFL loves to get their projects and their posterboys in the big show.

I don’t think the NFL is “rigged.” I think it’s “managed.” For whatever those terms are worth. For something to be rigged everyone would have to be in on it. Obviously that is impossible and the leaks would be massive. I think it’s more from the top down things are dictated to make things more probable and they go from there. Probability based. But I’m a moron so don’t listen to me.

I just don't plan my day around it anymore. It's been that way for me since the no call.

I felt very sick after the No Call Rams game. I was at work and I just kind of shut down mentally for the evening. I felt like the NFL played favorites and determined the outcome of the game.

It was similar to the feeling I felt on 01/09/12. I couldn’t function physically. I have OCD and my body was filled with anger and hatred toward those game officials and Goodell .

I knew I needed therapy and I have tried finding hobbies that don’t just involve the weather. I had to find coping mechanisms to release the tension. I wasn’t a professional player so why did I identify myself so strongly with the Saints success or failure. I took everything personally. It was no way to live.

Thankfully, I don’t invest myself with the NFL. I haven’t watched a Super Bowl in years. I keep up with the scores around playoff time but my life doesn’t revolve around football anymore.

I quit watching the NFL around the time the players started kneeling for the National Anthem. I think I finished that season but I have maybe watched 5 Saints games and no other NFL games since then. I did see the Nola no call game and that was really it for me. I only come here a few times a year when I’m really bored. I used to watch all the time, now I spend that time with family. Should have been doing that all along.

Idk I don’t boycott anything because I’m not letting politics determine how I enjoy my life.

I still watch every year and pull for saints but I don’t have as much passion for the NFL now… it’s not bc of politics either… For me I haven’t felt the same since:

I don’t think I’ll ever get over it honestly…

This board definitely doesn’t have the same numbers or participation as before the kneeling and woke propaganda.

I would add the 'no call' to that list.

True and the Brees crap between the team turning on him to the mis-apology.

Regardless many that said they were done, at least, stopped posting here and the overall quality of the board has suffered.

Aren't you always on here talking about the roster?

How does that make sense?

I watch it though it’s definitely rigged but I also watch WWE which of course is fake.

I haven't watched a down of NFL after 2017 and I don't miss it. I'm about to do the same with NCAA. Game isn't the same and life's too short to be aggravated by something not that important in the grand scheme of things.
