Mayfield has a better passer rating than Patrick fricking mahomes
This seems like an anomaly because of how awful their receivers have been. I’d love to see it adjusted for drops.

“Common sense”

like claiming Russell Wilson is better than Derek Carr?
Yea I'm really going out on a limb. Future hall of famer, super bowl champ, higher passer rating and more touchdowns than Carr! Even in Russell Wilson's worst years we are splitting hairs.

that the offensive line was “above average”
Coming into the year they were supposed to be great, got off to a poor start. Finished the year strong. I believe going forward they will be above avg.

You forgot to mention “currently jobless”.
I don’t give a shite how good he was 5 years ago. We’re talking about right now.

Hmmmm
Carr: Got off to a poor start, finished strong. “Below average”

No shite. Stats only tell you so much.

I hate to break it to you, but stats are undoubtedly more reliable than you “gut feelings”.

Russell Wilson scored 4 more touchdowns than Carr. And he played two less games. Give me the guy who has actually won a playoff game.

With out a doubt. But with all statistics there are sources of error. Its more biased to exclude the sources of error and to claim that the raw stats represent reality to a T.

I think I can break it down easier. The players in all positions groups are league average players. None are viewed as special and none are the dogs of the league.
These average players returned an NFL average win/loss record. They are what they are.
Looking forward, none of the players/groups have much more of higher play potential. Very few are young and could have some additional breakout, but not enough to elevate the whole team beyond average.

I think Miller missing the season really hurt our offense, we didn’t have any running backs with speed and quickness, you could the difference in the last game of the season
