That was not the real luck....and you know it. What's wrong with critiquing a player? That was the worse defending ever seen on that play.

Love the win and will take it all day.

However that 2nd TY Hilton TD play and Byrd's YAC coverage do deserve some criticism. He looked more like a downfield blocker for Hilton than a defender trying to prevent him from scoring.

I don't think there is a defensive player in the league that could have tackled TY Hilton in that situation, seriously. There was really nothing for him to do, Hilton is way too fast and shifty to be brought down when he literally has the entire field to use. Not on Byrd even though his attempt looked silly

All I could think to myself while watching the play was...yep that was a 54 Million Dollar effort.

I try to never be that guy but I honestly could not shake that thought from my head, fair or not the thought was stuck there.

Probably unrealistic expectations
...for his Buffalo Rep, and his pay I was thinking we were getting a Troy Polamalu or Ed Reedesque style playmaker...maybe not them in their primes...but someone that could drastically impact games almost on/near their level.

So you clowns don't see the correlation between our Secondary and defense as a whole playing damn good, and Byrd coming back????

Him playing center field opens up a lot of things for this defense

Not going to completely disregard Byrd coming back making a difference...he is obviously an upgrade over whatever we were starting there.

However I think it is more of a general picture of the entire defense coming together. Cam has been going off the past 2 weeks, Kikaha and Anthony are playing faster and smarter, Ellerbe also came back putting Hawthorne back on the bench, and Breaux is starting to click at another level as a corner.
