The 2013 Saints are the first team in league history to field four players who caught 70-plus balls.
Jimmy Graham led the unit with 86 catches, nine more than runner-up Pierre Thomas. Marques Colston tallied 75, and Darren Sproles had 71. The overall team production was outstanding, but fantasy consistency was elusive for Saints skill-position players throughout the regular season, and this explains why. "Spread the wealth," said a smiling Drew Brees when told of the stat.

yeah, I'm still blown away that PT has 77 receptions.

it's probably half the reason its made our offense so damn predictable down the stretch.

I believe the league is more impressed by Mannings faux records.

I almost didn't create this thread bc I actually thought you might have already posted this. You even hit me with a shameful link.

Mouth, you did correct by posting this. Nobody reads his facts of the days anymore.

yeah, I knew that you were referring to Mannings record being upheld. I was setting you up bc I am completely ok with him keeping the record.

Manning would of broke the record by a mile had he stayed in the game. He 100% earned that record this year, there was no stopping him. Even my love for Brees couldn't blind me from knowing how shitty that would of been to have an official review take that away. But thats only bc he was taken out of the game right after, obviously.

Now had he broke Drew's record with that lateral pass on the final play or drive? Then yes, I'd be so fricking mad I wouldn't be able to see straight if it wasn't overturned. I want to think the NFL would see it the same way.

Look at it this way. Every time Manning's record is mentioned in the future, most football purists will likely always mention how he passed Drew Brees old record but only by a single yard.
