The Saints were a loser, bottom-feeder franchise for decades before the Payton-Brees Era. During this loser time, the Saints were known for making stupid, clownish trades and drafts.

Letting Williams go in free agency is a mistake in hindsight but I can understand not thinking he was worth what he was getting paid elsewhere.
Trading Ceedy was off the charts dumb. Let him walk in free agency and you get a better draft pick than you got with the trade. Unless he sucks in which case you timed his expiration date perfectly.
