I learned a few things on Sunday by watching and rooting for other teams as the Saints playoff bye hopes were in the hands of others.

Specifically, being a Lions fan for the last 2 minutes of that game was a sobering moment for me. The inability of them to move the ball was extremely hard to watch. I genuinely felt bad for Lions fans because I forgot what that felt like.

It was a solid reminder that the Saints are a damn good team and have a solid organization. It’s easy to nitpick for some of you, but it’s easy for me to sit back and smile as this team is 37-11 over the past 3 regular seasons. Payton has coached eight 10+ win teams out of 13 seasons. Brees is...Brees. It's okay to be spoiled, just don't forget where you came from.

Championships are nice too, though. Let’s get another.

Very well said, I agree. After watching the inability of the lions to maintain the lead and the last minute gaff on behalf of the Seahawks I feel very confident in our Saints and how they are currently playing.

This isn't 1980. Saints have been in a position over the last decade to add more titles to their history and legacy in this league and haven't done so. But if your standards are low then I guess you don't mind leaving a few championships on the wall.

The whole 'spoiled' argument is a moronic take. I'm not spoiled. I've been a fan of this team since before most of the 'BAWS' here have been born. It's called being savvy enough to know you don't get QB/Coach combos like Payton and Brees all that often and know that it might possibly be the only window in this organization's history (in our lifetimes) that it will compete for titles.

Saddest banner in the league is the one the Vikings used to have (still have) near one of their endzones that listed all the years they made the playoffs. No one cares about such a relatively trivial feat.
